This is a large growing species that is very popular in landscape plantings. This type of tree can get a bit overwhelming in size and it is difficult to get anything to grow under such a large tree.

There are a few problems with this tree that need mention. Older trees can have limbs break and the pollen from this type of tree can coat the yard in a yellow mess.

This variety of tree is often over thinned leaving the ends of the branches to grow longer and heavier resulting in more limb failures.
